When Pitt lost the commitment of 2012 recruit Machez Coates to NC State, it was a safe bet that they'd be looking to add at least one more defensive back to replace him. Graham and company got their man last night with the commitment of New York's Jahmahl Pardner.

Pardner is a "sleeper" to say the least. If you're looking for a highly rated or highly recruited player, you're going to be disappointed. Rivals has Pardner with no stars while ESPN and Scout give him two. Other offers? Just the MAC.

Still, he seems to have good size for a cornerback at 6'0", but will have to put on some weight at just 170 lbs. His highlight video shows a player with pretty good ball skills in the coverage and an at least decent kick returner. I wouldn't be expecting Pardner to come in and play in 2012 or 2013, but that doesn't mean he won't be able to contribute down the line.

Highlight video after the jump.

Welcome to Pitt, Jahmahl!
