For the second time this off-season, Jamie Dixon Inc. will be hiring. This time, he'll need to replace Video Coordinator Rasheen Davis, who will be heading to Xavier for (presumably) a better position. Davis joined the staff in 2008 after a brief stint as an assistant in Louisville. He was also rumored to be in the running for an assistant spot with Western Kentucky, which is expected to be filled soon.
One of Davis' best assets to the program was his relationship with the New York Gauchos, an elite NYC-based AAU team. Notable recruits currently with the Gauchos include Kadeem Jack, Omar Calhoun and Melvin Johnson. While Pitt was lucky to keep Brandin Knight in the fold this season (and his NJ Playaz connection), losing assistants is one of the few pitfalls of success. Pitt was lucky to have held on to an assistant of Davis's caliber for so long.
