[caption id="attachment_31" align="aligncenter" width="500" caption="With redshirt senior Bill Stull moving on, is Tino Suneri Pitt's future under center?"][/caption] Dave Wannstedt spoke with ESPN's superb Big East football blogger, Brian Bennett, and had this to say about sophomore QB Tino Suneri:
"He's ready to play now," Wannstedt said. "It's his time. He understands the offense, and we've got a good feel for his abilities and what he can do."
To be clear, the Stache does go on to say it will be an open competition going into spring practice between Sunseri and redshirt junior Pat Bostick, but I've always felt that the coaching staff isn't impressed with Bostick and this statement does nothing to dissuade me.  Although Bostick did lead Pitt to two of its most impressive victories of the past two years (at West Virginia and at Notre Dame), he struggled mightily in those performances. Coach Wannstedt goes on to say that QB Kolby Gray and WR/KR Aundre Wright will be moved from offense to the secondary.  Tough break for Gray, a quarterback recruited out of the Houston, Texas area,  who never really had a shot at QB due to a shoulder injury before his freshman year.  Hopefully he will be able adjust and help the Panthers in an area of weakness. The full interview will be published on Monday.  Oh, Brian Bennett, you're such a tease.
